Ant #309. Rebel Heart Tour.

MADONNA GOES ON "REBEL HEART TOUR"

I know there's nothing new! The tour been announced like a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't have time to express my excitement about it. It's always the best time for me: travelings, meeting friends (old and new ones), seeing new places, queuing and of course watching the best show on Earth!

Nobody puts the show together like Madonna!

For the moment I have tickets for 7 shows:

2) New York, USA.
3) Cologne, Germany.
4) Prague, Czech Republic.
5) Berlin, Germany.
6) Stockholm, Sweden.
7) Herning, Denmark.

Ant #308. Madonna at Brit Awards.

Superhuman, triumphant, living icon, hero...

That's how tabloids all over the world called Madonna after her epic performance at Brit Awards last night. But it wasn't only epic because of the show itself. She took a tumble...

It was one of the most heartbreaking moments in my life. My heart stopped when her dancers pulled her cape (as it was obviously planned) and she fell downstairs along with it. And I almost cried when I saw how this little fragile woman got up, put herself together and continued the ‪show‬. And she killed it all! Who even remembers there was a ceremony? Everyone talks about Madonna!

One of my friends posted on Facebook that suddenly he remembered one "Sex & the City" episode where Carrie Bradshaw fell on runway. So did I.

And that moment Carrie thought: "I had a choice – I could slink off the runway and let my inner model die of shame, or I could pick myself up, flaws and all, and finish. And that’s just what I did. Because when real people fall down in life, they get right back up and keep on walking."

There's no one to blame for what happened. I think it's a fault of many people: of a designer/costumer who didn't make a velcro for the cape, of dancers who didn't notice she wasn't ready and pulled her down, of choreographers who decided that the cape should be taken off while she's on stairs (if she was standing on the floor she wouldn't fall, or at least not that hard), and of course of her own, coz in the end she's an artist and she's responsible.

But after all Madonna is a human being too. Shortly she posted on her Instagram.

She didn't cry, she didn't look for compassion like some singers always do, victimizing themselves, she smiled and said she was "fine"! She proved once again that she has a right to be called ‪Queen Of Pop‬, she's the biggest professional in the music industry, she's a ‪‎showgirl‬, and she knows that ‪"Show Must Go On"‬.

I still feel said for what happened, but we all fall sometimes, literally or metaphorically. ‪Love‬ her even more now!

The night on 22nd of february of 2001.
I'm a 15-years-old boy watching a TV, changing channels...
"Boring... Boring... Boring... Oh, Grammy Music Awards. Never heard of it. Let's check it out..."
And in a few second... "Wow! Limousine! Wait, wait... Wait a second, I know the melody, I heard this song in a club [yes, I was clubbing since 11] las saturday. What was the singer's name? It was cool, I remember... MADONNA! Yeah!"

When the performance ended, I was like "Oh my f*cking god! This woman is amazing and damn hot!"

It was the very first time I saw her on stage. Before that I didn't even know how she looked like. In my home-town we didn't have any music channels.
The day it has all begun! The day when my life has changed forever!

So it was pretty exciting to know she's about to perform at Grammy's again, this year, on february 8th. Can't wait to see it! With no doubt it will be phenomenal!

First, I'd like to say some words.

I'm not happy that both songs are leaked. Madonna spent months in studio and definitely wanted them to appear in another way.
But anyway I love them and I got super-excited! Can't wait for the whole album (to be released, not leaked, of course).

I don't get those who say them sound like Avicii. Hello, any song of any artist sounds typically for a producer who made it. So calm the fuck down and enjoy the music!

2 weeks!
2 unforgettable weeks I spent there!

Why the hell didn't I go to this amazing country before? >_<

So my trip was: Rio de Janeiro -> Brasilia -> San Paulo.

RIO DE JANEIRO

1) No one speaks english there.
2) Spanish and portuguese are much more similar than I thought, so we could understand each other.
3) The weather is like a woman there, changes all the time.
4) What people say about african men (you know what I mean) is true! XD
5) Public transport is kinda expensive there. Food in restaurants is ok. Starbucks is cheaper than in Moscow, but more expensive than in Buenos Aires.
6) People in clubs remind me russians (no explanations! Who knows what I'm talking about will understand me).
7) The city itself is very nice and definitely worth to see. The landscape blew my mind!

BRASILIA

1) No one speaks fucking english! Guys, I swear, it's a touristic hell. 3 different receptionists in my hotel, 5 bus/taxi drivers, 6-10 restaurant/cafe staff, 4 museum staff and many more, and none of them spoke english!!! It's insane!!!
2) If you're a pedestrian, you'll be in trouble. This city is not for you. There's even no way to cross a street. I saw just a very few traffic lights for pedestrians.
3) Weather forecast is a pure bullshit! No match at all! AT ALL!!!
4) The city itself is absolutely unique! Definitely worth to see, at least once!

SAN PAULO

1) A very few people spoke english, but they tried anyway, and I really appreciate it.
2) Totally underrated city! Seriously, I loved it much more than Rio. )))
3) Strong strong strong cocktails everywhere! My Cosmo was just a pure alcohol.
4) Big cultural life and good night life.
5) Horrible (but not the worst) traffic.
6) Cheaper than Rio and Brasilia.

Probably there I felt home. I don't mean that I'd like to live there, I mean SP really reminds me Moscow... Traffic, people in rush, city structure... It was an amazing experience!

Lollapalooza is a really cool festival!
Usually I try no to attend this kind of events, but this time I didn't have a choice and I didn't regret at all! I absolutely enjoyed it!

Ant #239. Madonna at the Grammy's.

What a night was that!
I couldn't fall asleep till the morning, that's how excited I was!

At first someone leaked a few pictures from rehearsals where she wore a horrible dress and all the fans started screaming like pussies!
Well, it really was one of the most disgusting dresses I've ever seen in my life. I got nervous!

Actually we all were nervous, coz we had no clue about this performance.
She doesn't have anything to promote: no albums, no singles, no tour, nothing!
But then we found out a few details!

It was gonna be an appearance (not the full show) during the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's performance featuring Mary Lambert.

So I bought a pizza and started watching!
Whoops! Here she comes! Dresses in a black suit, looking a pastor!
Hot and chic!
She appeared with her adopted son David, made a comment about her damn grillz (she said she wore them to piss the people off!) and fuck off.

So I started watching this crap from the red carpet and backstage, and I prayed she will perform soon, but unfortunately she did almost in the end.

And when I almost gave up to see her, Queen Latifah appeared on the stage and said that "this love song is not for some of us, but for all of us"...

I put a piece of pizza back to the box and started watching... 1st minute, 2nd minute, 3rd minute... The song is almost over and she's not coming. Suddenly the doors are opening and... Queen Latifah is appearing again! Duh! This moment all the cameras started showing lots of couples (straight, gay and lesbian) all over the hall standing next to each other, holding hands, smiling and being dressed like they are at their weddings. Queen Latifah, being authorized by the government, asked them to exchange their rings and declared that from now on they are MARRIED COUPLES!

And this moment appears MADONNA! Dressed as pastor again, but in a white suit! She started singing her old hit "Open Your Heart" along with the church choir and Mary Lamber while the couples were kissing, dancing and celebrating one of the greatest day in their lives, the day when two became one!

I couldn't control my feelings and burst in tears! "Shame on me", at first I thought, but then I saw Mary Lambert crying, a few couples crying, lots of guests (celebrities) crying... It was so touching!

Seriously, guys!
Watching happy people, just people without labels, is something that is worth to live for!

And I'm so proud to be a Madonna fan, because:
1) She stands for the human rights! And the fact that she comes to sing with new artists without commercial interest is proving it!
2) She makes me believe in humanity!
3) She's the greatest performer! She came to the ceremony to wed people (incl. gay couple) and for this she turned from the black into the white pastor! Isn't it smart? It is!
4) She's the highest level troll! Yes! I'm pretty sure she wore that stupid dress on rehearsals just to piss her fans off, like she wears grillz to do so)))

So now, boys and girls!

Ant #226. Coyote Ugly.

When I was a teenager, I watched the movie "Coyote Ugly".
It was a crap actually, but the soundtrack was pretty good and I fell in love with one song.
It's stupid, but so romantic!

Ant #221. Sade and Sasha.

I wonder how many of you know the singer Sade.
She's my night time satelite.
I always play her music when I'm down.
Those who know me in real life could realize it easily.

But probably nobody knows how I discovered her.
She was one of my first love's fav singers.
Sasha always played her when we were driving her car at night, drinking coffee and talking.

Interesting... Where is she now? I haven't heard anything about her for years.
I hope she's doing well.

We didn't even kiss. I was a little boy, but she was already a woman.
But I loved being with her all the time.
I was enjoying every single minute...
Until one day she moved to another city.
Then we talked a couple times but never saw each other again.

But seriously, I hope she's doing well!
One the greatest persons I ever met.

Ant #219. Martin Solveig.

Oooooooh, I like him since I heard his song "Madan" back in 2004.
And I was so happy when I knew that he was the opening act artist during Madonna's MDNA Tour.

And at one of the concerts I've visited I had a great moment with him!
He gave me his personal "Smash" head band! I wrote about it here.
He was so nice to me! ^_^

So why am I saying it?

HE'S COMING TO BUENOS AIRES!
WOO-HOO!

And of course I have already bought a ticket!

But before going to his concert party I gotta learn the dance! Check it out! So f*cking funny! And he's wearing a russian t-shirt! XD

Ant #211. Carla Morrison.

This poster blew my mind when I saw it!

Carla Morrison, mexican singer, very tallented girl, is coming to my city!

She's not worldwide famous, but it only makes her more autentical, more inderpendent and more artistic.

I discovered her accidentely. There was a free song of her on iTunes, I downloaded it and loved it! Then I downloaded the whole album and found it amazingly good!

She sings spanish, and I used to hate all the spanish songs, but she has become and exception for me!

But I never thought that one day I'll see her life, coz I doubt she would ever come to Russia with a concert. But I'm not there anymore, I'm here, and I got a great opportunity to see my first spanish-singing "crash" ever! )))

So... I got a 1st row ticket! ;-)

Ant #203. Little Boots.

I totally forgot to describe the concert!

So...
Of course it wasn't the show that we all used to go. There weren't dancers, stage constructions, huge screens etc. But there was an awesome atmosphere! Joy, fun and crazy non-stop dance!

I came to the place a couple of hours before the concert. And I came really in time, coz Victoria came out on the street to welcome fans! So nice of her!
We talked a lil bit and took a picture!

Then she left and soon we got inside the venue. I stood in the 1st row, as usually )))
After a pretty cool warming-up performance Little Boots came on stage!

There was a cool story with me!
Before the show one of fans asked me if I wanted to get a poster. I chose one with the name of my fav song of her... "SHAKE".

When she was singing this song she saw it and... Take a look at 1:00!

It was sooooooo cool! )))

I came home tired as hell! It was one of the most exhausting (in a good way) concerts I've ever attended: I didn't stop dancing from the very beginning till the very end! ^_^

I hope I'll see her again!

Ant #183. Gossip.

I'm deeply in love with this indie-rock band from New York, and it seems like my dream to see them live is about to come true!

They are coming to Buenos Aires with the only one show, and I'm freeking excited!

Today I have bought a ticket! ^_^

I heard about them when their lead-singer Beth Ditto released her solo EP.
The first single called "I wrote the book", catchy dance track and Madonna-inspired video.
Then I saw how she performed in Moscow the cover-version of Madonna's immortal "Vogue".
I thought: "Damn, this woman has a charisma!"

Then I started looking for info about her and her band and I fell in love!
