Ant #327. Russia: Europe or not?

It's an interesting fact!

When people talk about Russia, they call it a european country.
When you talk to russians, most of them don't like to associate themselves to Europe (thanx to Putin's propaganda).

The thing is... Russian culture is definitely European culture. Russian music, literature, art are all based on European ones. Russian language is in European group of languages. Russians are Christians. We live in the same media space, we share the same past and future. Russian etiquette is European etiquette. First Russian universities were opened by the tsar Peter the 1st who brought the education from Europe. Russian science exists thanks to European science. After all, Russia is by far the largest European country by both area and population, taking up to 40% of the continent.

But many Russians still think they have nothing to do with Europe because Europeans support gays.
Doh.

Ant #315. Goodbye, life.

I saw many many times people post horrible stories about suicides of gays who were bullied.

Thought #1.

In the amount of people who suicide, how many of them were gays?
Try to understand me, every case of suicide is a terrible story that should never happen, but do we ever see in newspapers that someone suicides because he lost his job or lost his money, or because his wife cheated on him? No. So what does make gays special? I don't get it.
Some people are assholes and some people suicide. This is just an ugly truth of the life. Shit happens. That's why...

Thought #2.

It doesn't matter what was the cause of suicide, we shouldn't praise it. Suicide isn't a solution. It's for weak people. That's what we should say to anyone who ever thinks about it. Don't kill yourself! Fight! We're here to help you if you need, but don't give up! This should be a massage. But instead we have "Oh poor babe, he killed himself because he was treated badly by his horrible classmates." After reading this every teenager will think "Ah, so I have to kill myself to get some compassion."

Modern humanity exists many thousands years, and during all this time we were treating each other badly. We aren't able to change it, we will always be like this. So we have to deal with it. And instead of praying for the world peace (which will NEVER happen), we should grow balls and when they drag us in dirt, get up and keep going.

Period.

Ant #288. 30 Things Every Gay Man Must Do Before Turning 30.

I've just seen an article called 30 Things Every Gay Man Must Do Before Turning 30, and I couldn't leave it without comments coz the majority of these 30 is just weird. I don't know who's responsible for this text but I guess he knows nothing about people, their tastes and preferences.

Here we go...

30. Make friends with someone you haven’t slept with
Ehh, I actually had just a very few partners in my life and I never slept with any of my friends or mates. So what can you recommend me? To finally sleep with one?

29. Get over the ex who hurt you
Ehh, are you talking to me? I have no problems with my exs.

28. Watch the movie Showgirls
I did. But you should better offer me something more intellectual.

27. Clear out your closet
I regularly do, don't you?

26. Evaluate your safe-sex practices
Oh, in my 30s, right? Are you f*cking kidding me? You MUST do that since your teenage.

25. Quit smoking, like, for real this time
So before 30s it's ok to smoke, right?

24. Learn how to hold your alcohol
I have learnt. Many many years ago.

23. Stop drunk texting your FBs
Never did.

22. See Cher in concert
What if I like hard rock or heavy metal? Or gospel? Or rap? Come on, Cher is nice, but she's not Messiah.

21. Cut the drama
Drama is definitely not about me. I like to watch and laugh, but not participate.

20. Date an older guy
Seriously? First of all, I'm not dating, I'm loving. Unconditionally. I'm not gonna push myself to date a granny just because you say it's worth it. If you say like this, you probably know nothing about real love. Second, what for? I don't need a dad, I need a lifetime partner.

19. Register to vote — and actually cast your ballot
I do vote.

18. Pay down your credit card debt
I have no debts.

17. Learn how to cook
I cook.

16. Stay at a clothing-optional resort
I'm not interested in this at all. My nudity is for a person that I love and that love me. Period.

15. Open a retirement account
The only good advice here.

14. Get rid of all your crap from IKEA
I have nothing from IKEA, but even if I had, what's the problem with it?

13. Date someone who’s not your type
See #20.

12. Read Gore Vidal’s The City and the Pillar
You say "It’s a must-read classic in gay literature." I'm not interested in GAY literature, I'm interested in GOOD literature. If this is the only book you tell me to read, I have some questions about you intelligence and education level.

11. Accept that some people are just assholes and nothing will ever change that
I have accepted already. I learnt this lesson like 10 years ago.

10. Explore a sexual fetish
As you wish.

9. Stop saying “I hate kids”
I don't hate them, I just don't wanna have them.

8. Gain some selfie-control
I think I'm good.

7. Indulge in luxurious bedding
I prefer to spend my money on something more interesting and thrilling like traveling.

6. Have coffee with an ex-boyfriend
I did many times. I'm friends with almost all of them.

5. Quit comparing yourself to others
Never did.

4. Wear sunscreen, even on your butt
I never leave my home with no sunscreen on me, but thanx for caring.

3. Stop complaining about the things everyone else deals with, too
This is definitely not about me.

2. Bottom… At least once
Anything else? S&M? Zoo? Golden shower?
It's good you try to show us different sides of pleasure, but don't forget that everyone has his own preferences.

1. Stop freaking out about being 30
I'm almost 29, and I'm in my best age. I'm good looking, young and fresh, I'm healthy and full of energy. I'm smart and educated. I'm independent. Why should I be freaked out?

Ant #277. Homosexuality and religion.

I've been surfing through different pages and have seen a gay man with a poster "I'm gay, I'm christian and I love God."
And it's not the first time I see something like this. How many times I heard gay people saying "God said "Love your neighbor as yourself!"
Countless...

And I thought... What the actual f*ck?
Why do gay people defend themselves trying to show their connection with God pointing fingers at what he "said", even if they are atheists?

I'm sorry, is it the only possibility for me to excuse my existence? But what if I don't believe in God along with billions people? Am I supposed to just die?

The history shows us so many examples of existence of homosexuality through all the centuries.
Science has proved that there's no even one kind of animals on Earth with no homosexual ones.

But we still MUST take an existence of God by default and excuse our existence.
Why don't I see a single believer with a poster "I believe in God, I'm gay and I love scientists!"???
Because I cannot choose my own morality of life, I must live according to what I'm being told by people who follow try to follow the rules of a book written thousands years ago by someone with a huge imagination. (I fixed "follow" with "try to follow" because they actually don't, they failed a lot.)

I'm fed up with it.
I exist.
Deal with it or f*ck off!

Ant #271. Putin in Argentina.

Ant #268. Gaydar.

From Wikipedia:
Gaydar (a portmanteau of gay and radar) is a colloquialism referring to the intuitive ability of a person to assess others' sexual orientations as gay, bisexual or heterosexual.
Sounds interesting, right?

Almost all of my gay-friends say they can easily see if someone in front of them is gay or not. I still think it's more based on stereotypes than on inner feelings, but how does it work exactly? I can barely find a gay person in a crowd. Moreover, if I didn't know that my gay-friends are gays, I would definitely think that 99% of them were straight.

By the way, I think that this ability is pretty useful! )))

Ant #267. Still small voice.

I have just read on newsfeed that today in Russian Parliament one deputy performed asking other deputies to cancel so-called "anti-gay" law.
It was a 10-minutes long speech about current situation with Human Rights in Russia.
I'm translating a few parts of it.

This law is just too much. It's not protecting, it's discriminating.
Shortly, every word about existing of homosexuals with no negative context now claims as gay-propaganda.
If we don't understand that people can be different, can eat different food, can build their own families, we will always be a part of the most horrible war - war in our homes. Is it a life that we want for our children?
This intolerant atmosphere raised the number of suicides, especially between teenagers who discovered their homosexuality... The law doesn't let them speak about their feelings - you call it "propaganda". But the law still do let the persecutors bully those kids, insult them, turn their lives into the hell.
All the talks about sexual orientation of another person in modern world are unacceptable. It's not the most important thing in a human being.
Do I understand that you will deny my suggestion [about canceling the anti-gay law]? Yes, I do. Do I think that in this case my performance was pointless? No, I don't... Thank you for attention.

The full speech you can listen to here (if you understand russian).

I also don't think that this speech was pointless, even though she was supported only by 12 deputies (out of 450), but I believe it's just the beginning. The more people wake up from this nightmare life, the more tolerant we become. It's really important for all the gay-community in Russia to know that they are not alone!

Ant #257. Sweet Conchita Wurst.

Another arguing with relatives, and now because of Conchita Wurst.

The russian society turned insane when she won Eurovision. Countless and countless posts and articles about death of Europe, about family values, about tolerance that destroys the world. On the central TV they said that "Europe has a bloody diarrhea" and that "Beard is a sign of loneliness and Apocalypse!" XDDD

And it would have been just funny, if people weren't that serious about this shit.

But what is really funny is people talking about family values in a country which is a world leader in divorces and abortions.

Hypocrites!

Ant #243. 14 Reasons It’s Harder Being A Bottom Than A Top.

I've just found this article and this is hilarious! )))))
You all must read it! XD

*  *  *  *  *

1. Well I mean first of all someone is shoving a thing inside of u that doesn’t necessarily belong there. So.

2. But curiously, THERE ARE NO TOPS. Okay maybe there are like 5 tops in the universe. In the gay male sex world, the top to bottom ratio is totally skewed towards bottoms. There are waaaaaaaaaaaay more bottoms than there are tops.

3. You run the risk of your friends singing “THIS BOY IS A BOTTTOOMMMMMM!!!” at you when you go out together. Whatever tho — at least there’s a song about you!

4. Somedays you just don’t FEEL like bottoming, even if you are horny. Bottoming isn’t about just having someone put their piece in u. It’s about really W-A-N-T-I-N-G that piece all up in u. Two different sentiments. If you’re not feeling it, there’s no dice.

5. It’s SO much work, ugh.

6. Santorum.

7. Being ashamed of being a big old bottom. Even though 92% of gay men are bottoms, according to my ethnographic field research, lots of gay men are ashamed of it, as if there’s something less masculine about it. The majority of mainstream gay dudes are all about masculinity, and anything that eclipses that has got to go.

8. And speaking of which, if you are femme or even slightly effeminate or fey, the few tops out there in the gay sexual desert may not be interested in you. “If I wanted to date a girl, I would.” Oh lord.

9. If the top is inexperienced you are in for quite an experience.

10. When you meet a hot guy and you find out he’s a bottom, too, it’s like eyeroll. HOWEVER! If you meet someone really hot and he’s all “I’m a top,” you automatically go: “Oooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

11. Even if you enjoy bottoming, sometimes you get stuck with an everlasting top and you are sort of over it and he is still going at it and you sit through it just so he can get off.

12. He might try to pull some mess and take the condom off and you may not know. A bottom can’t pull the condom off without the top seeing/knowing.

13. People will assume you can’t top even though you have an extremely capable dick. There’s an automatic stigma around bottoming: once a bottom always a bottom. Even if you are sort of versatile sometimes, there are some guys out there who are all, “Yeah right. Do not want.”

14. Every bottom ever has slept with some top who treated his penis like an all conquering sword, stabbing you to orgasm I guess? Tip: can you not!

Ant #240. Russian anti-gay law in action.

Madonna and her son David at Grammy's
A few days ago I wrote a post about Madonna's appearance at the Grammy's, where she sang for 33 couples (straight and gay) getting married on our eyes!

So try to imagine how excited I was when I knew that one of russian TV channels was about to show the ceremony on the following day!

And now try to imagine how disappointed I was when I've been told that these TV assholes cut her performance out! They didn't even mention that she was performing!
Nothing! Silence! Like she never appeared there!

I put my hands down...
I lost the last hope that Russia can change. What happened actually to this country?
I remember myself as a teenager, and I remember how everyday I watched MTV and there were lots of shows and TV series with gays, and no one cared!
Now, after 10 years, when the whole world legalizes gay marriages, Russia is coming back to the Stone Age.

I'm sad and devastated...
Madonna has been fighting for the Human Rights through her entire career.
On 2012 during her show in St. Petersburg she openly supported gay community in Russia and spoke out against the anti-gay law, criticized russian government and personally russian president Vladimir Putin.
The reaction was absolutely inappropriate and disproportionate. A few activists via the deputy Vitaly Milonow (the author of the anti-gay law) tried to sue Madonna for more than $10,000,000.
I wish that all russian people could see this performance of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Mary Lambert and Madonna, coz if it doesn't touch them, they can throw out their stone hearts.
Let us all enjoy it once again!
Love each other!

Ant #239. Madonna at the Grammy's.

What a night was that!
I couldn't fall asleep till the morning, that's how excited I was!

At first someone leaked a few pictures from rehearsals where she wore a horrible dress and all the fans started screaming like pussies!
Well, it really was one of the most disgusting dresses I've ever seen in my life. I got nervous!

Actually we all were nervous, coz we had no clue about this performance.
She doesn't have anything to promote: no albums, no singles, no tour, nothing!
But then we found out a few details!

It was gonna be an appearance (not the full show) during the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's performance featuring Mary Lambert.

So I bought a pizza and started watching!
Whoops! Here she comes! Dresses in a black suit, looking a pastor!
Hot and chic!
She appeared with her adopted son David, made a comment about her damn grillz (she said she wore them to piss the people off!) and fuck off.

So I started watching this crap from the red carpet and backstage, and I prayed she will perform soon, but unfortunately she did almost in the end.

And when I almost gave up to see her, Queen Latifah appeared on the stage and said that "this love song is not for some of us, but for all of us"...

I put a piece of pizza back to the box and started watching... 1st minute, 2nd minute, 3rd minute... The song is almost over and she's not coming. Suddenly the doors are opening and... Queen Latifah is appearing again! Duh! This moment all the cameras started showing lots of couples (straight, gay and lesbian) all over the hall standing next to each other, holding hands, smiling and being dressed like they are at their weddings. Queen Latifah, being authorized by the government, asked them to exchange their rings and declared that from now on they are MARRIED COUPLES!

And this moment appears MADONNA! Dressed as pastor again, but in a white suit! She started singing her old hit "Open Your Heart" along with the church choir and Mary Lamber while the couples were kissing, dancing and celebrating one of the greatest day in their lives, the day when two became one!

I couldn't control my feelings and burst in tears! "Shame on me", at first I thought, but then I saw Mary Lambert crying, a few couples crying, lots of guests (celebrities) crying... It was so touching!

Seriously, guys!
Watching happy people, just people without labels, is something that is worth to live for!

And I'm so proud to be a Madonna fan, because:
1) She stands for the human rights! And the fact that she comes to sing with new artists without commercial interest is proving it!
2) She makes me believe in humanity!
3) She's the greatest performer! She came to the ceremony to wed people (incl. gay couple) and for this she turned from the black into the white pastor! Isn't it smart? It is!
4) She's the highest level troll! Yes! I'm pretty sure she wore that stupid dress on rehearsals just to piss her fans off, like she wears grillz to do so)))

So now, boys and girls!
Enjoy the performance! ;-)

Ant #197. Supporting russian LGBT-community.

The invitation to joing this demonstration I received yesterday.
At first I wasn't about to come (I had other plans), but the fact that it will be in front of the russian embassy made me change my mind!

I didn't know what to expect. In Russia all pro-LGBT demonstrations are prohibitted (officially not, but actually yes), and people who join them risk to be busted/beaten/killed (depending on how lucky you are).

I came to the place a lil bit earlier to check everything and I saw a couple of my friends there.
I felt better!

Someone told journalists that I was russian, and they all came to me to talk, to ask some questions, to share opinions. I gave the interview to one of local TV channels which wasn't a big pleasure, coz usually I'm not a fan of this kind of attention. But I had no choice, I was the only one russian there.

It was super-fun! There was a cool music, gay-flags and lots of nice people!
Some people asked me my contacts, to talk later.

I stayed there a lil bit more and then left.

I'm no longer in Russia, but it doesn't mean I can forget about that country. I still have there my family and my friends who need to know they are not alone!
Be stronger! Together we can do anything!

Ant #175. Homophobic Russia.

Last night I was sitting in front of my laptop when I saw a horrible post on my facebook news feed.

My friend who lives in Moscow reported that the special troops in masks and with guns rushed into the club where he was with his friends.

It was a straight club that organized a gay party.

The official reason was they were looking for drugs and drug-dealers, but nobody saw any dogs that usually look for this crap. And it was obvious that they were interested in something else.

They lined people along walls and one by one started checking their IDs.
When they made a list of all people in the club (names, IDs, places of living, jobs etc.), they left!

What the hell was it?

At first these homophobic morons say that "they don't care of what you do at your homes and clubs, but you shouldn't show who you are outside", now they come into last places where people can be themselves.

I cannot imagine what people survived last night! Check the pictures... They are real!

P.S. A couple of weeks ago my friend found an anonymous letter from his neighbours under his door. The text was "You don't look like a gay, but we know that you are. Please, respect our feelings, here live children!"
How they dare?

Ant #155. Les amours imaginaires.

Les amours imaginaires (Heartbeats)
I've just watched "Les amours imaginaires"("Heartbeats") (2010), the story of two friends who both fall in love with the same man.

Actually I don't think they fell in love with him.
They both were looking for love, but found an asshole.
He played with their hearts, flirted, gave them hopes...
You know what is it... And he didn't give a shit about their feelings. He enjoyed his power.

But this movie is not only about this one love-triangle.
It brings up questions about love, relationships, temptations and... bisexuality. As a parallel subject line, you can see a meeting of anonymous lovers, where different people tell their tragic (or not so) stories. All of them were hurted a lot by people in whom they fell in love.

But what really caught my attention in this movie is the way how its director (Xavier Dolan) shows a bisexuality, because I've been told by many friends of mine the same things. "Bisexuals only play with people, but actually don't love anybody!", "Bisexuals always change partners, they are sluts!", "Bisexuals adore to see people suffering!", "Bisexuals need more and more lovers, they love attention!"... That's what they usually say. That's what the movie says.

I think that people mix terms "bisexuality" and "assholeness", but they are not the same!
I know a totally straight guy that uses his hadsomeness to get money from rich men and he doesn't even kiss them, coz thinks it's disgusting. And I also know some bisexuals who found their partners and live together many years.

In my opinion, bisexuality doesn't mean that you fuck with everyone, it means that you find both genders sexually attractive, but you also can be with the only one person for the rest of your life! That's it!

Ant #150. LGBT in Russia.

Let's imagine that you are an open gay/lesbian, living in Russia, you have a boyfriend/girlfriend, you live together as a family, probably one of you has a child (own, not adopted).

Your DUTIES (kinda fair, I would say):
- you have to pay all the taxes and fees;
- if you're a boy (18-27 years old), you have to serve in army, no one gives a f*ck about your sexual orientation;
- you have to pay rents;
- you have the same rules of traffic regulation;
- you have to pay lots of insurances (medical, social, etc).

In other words you have to do all those things that all the society does.

But what's about RIGHTS?
- no marriages or officially recognized partnerships;
- if any tragedy happens to me and I'll be in coma, my boyfriend won't have a right to ask doctors to switch off my life support system;
- if I die, my boyfriend will need to adopt my child, but he definitely will be rejected, because in Russia single persons cannot adopt a baby, only married ones can, and no ones gives a f*ck that my boyfriend was raising our child for years and has been called "Dad";
- we cannot get a special/discounted credits in bank for buying an apartment, only traditionally married couples can get "family" credits;
- we'll have a lot of problems with heritage, coz even I put my boyfriend's name in a will as the only one heir, my relatives will be able to sue him and get everything, he will get nothing...

And I can continue!

Maybe you say that it happens in many countries, I agree, but...

A few days ago russian government passed a law about so-called "Anti-gay propaganda".
What is this law talking about?

Quote: "Prohibited are all activities focused on uncontrolled spread in any public way any kind of information that could harm the health, moral and spiritual extention of teenagers, including the forming  a distorted view of social equivalence of traditional and non-traditional marriage."
Penalty is about $170.
In other words, you cannot say to your child that gays/lesbians/bisexuals/transgenders are normal people.

Last week friday one of popular TV hostes offically came out during his live tv-show. On monday he was fired.

On wednesday one school teacher of biology (straight, married, having 2 children) took a part in a rally against this law. Next day he was fired.

Our politicians think that gays are sick, have some brain problems and dangerous for society (probably they were talking about themselves). And they don't give a f*ck that WHO (World Health Organisation) has excluded "homosexualism" out of the list of illnesses many many years ago, and Russia also signed this document.

Can you please tell me how can I live in the country that is full of ignorant idiots?
I really wanna escape this place!

Heaven, help me!

MDNA Tour, St. Petersburg, Russia
