Ant #325. Months of silence.

It's been a long time since I posted for the last time.
The reason is simple... I was on tour... Actually not me, Madonna was on tour (and still is) and I was following her all over Europe.

Cologne, Germany -> Prague, Czech Republic -> Berlin, Germany -> Stockholm,  Sweden -> Herning, Denmark -> Turin, Italy -> Barcelona, Spain -> Antwerp, Belgium -> Mannheim, Germany -> Zurich, Switzerland... 16 shows in 3 weeks...

+ touristic visits to Ljubljana, Slovenia -> Budapest, Hungary -> Bratislava, Slovakia and lots of time spent in Vienna, Austria.

It was the longest trip of my life. I missed Buenos Aires a lot. Finally I'm back home! ^_^

Actually I wanted to write an end-of-the-year post, but then I thought... What can I write about? There are million of crazy stories happened to me during this trip, but whatever I reveal someone will get in trouble ))) LOL)

I'll think of it and will post something, not sure what it will be. I have some days left! :-P

Ant #309. Rebel Heart Tour.

MADONNA GOES ON "REBEL HEART TOUR"

I know there's nothing new! The tour been announced like a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't have time to express my excitement about it. It's always the best time for me: travelings, meeting friends (old and new ones), seeing new places, queuing and of course watching the best show on Earth!

Nobody puts the show together like Madonna!

For the moment I have tickets for 7 shows:
1) Miami, USA.
2) New York, USA.
3) Cologne, Germany.
4) Prague, Czech Republic.
5) Berlin, Germany.
6) Stockholm, Sweden.
7) Herning, Denmark.

UPD: Two more shows:
8) 2nd show in Cologne, Germany,
9) 2nd show in Berlin, Germany.

UPD [2]: One more...
10) 2nd show in Prague, Czech Republic.

But obviously my own tour itinerary will expand )))))
I'm so damn excited!

Ant #291. Brazil vs. Argentina.

No, no, I'm not gonna compare these countries.
Both are great!

I wanna talk about one thing that I noticed when I was in Brazil. I didn't talk about it coz it was a feeling and I couldn't express it in words. Now, after one interesting conversation I know how to do this.

When I was in Rio, Brasilia and San Paulo wherever I met people (in hotels, cafe, public transport or on the streets) they first started talking to me in portuguese. Then I replied in english and they asked me where am I from... In Brazil anybody can "be" brazilian. There are people with every skin/eyes/hair colors, in all combinations. And you never look like a foreigner.

Here in Argentina I know that it doesn't matter how long I'm about to live here, I'll always be a foreigner, a gringo or a yankee. I look too different.

It's not good or bad. It's just a fact.

Ant #280. Citizens of the world.

I'm pretty sure about what I'm gonna say right now...

People who are passionate about traveling are different.

Don't even try to convince me in opposite.
And I'm not talking about rich people. I didn't say "who travel", I said "who are passionate". Mostly I mean people who are ready to travel with low-cost airlines or even to hitchhike, who save all their pennies just for not staying at home on their days-off.

These people are so different!
They discover many cultures, many traditions, many places. They absorb every little impression they get, but also they share their own uniqueness with others. You can also see them in a crowd, they look like extraterrestrials. So different! No matter where they are, they can always find friends because after being everywhere they knows that all human beings are made of the same flesh and the same blood. They can can talk to anyone about anything. They have a special light that is magnetizing good people. So different! They never judge. They accept and love all the people for who they are. They are tolerant, open-minded and ready to learn. They know how to enjoy the life. So different!

Once I've been told...
"It doesn't matter how old are your snickers if you're walking in them across Paris."
So damn true!

Ant #252. Brazil.

2 weeks!
2 unforgettable weeks I spent there!

Why the hell didn't I go to this amazing country before? >_<

So my trip was: Rio de Janeiro -> Brasilia -> San Paulo.

RIO DE JANEIRO

1) No one speaks english there.
2) Spanish and portuguese are much more similar than I thought, so we could understand each other.
3) The weather is like a woman there, changes all the time.
4) What people say about african men (you know what I mean) is true! XD
5) Public transport is kinda expensive there. Food in restaurants is ok. Starbucks is cheaper than in Moscow, but more expensive than in Buenos Aires.
6) People in clubs remind me russians (no explanations! Who knows what I'm talking about will understand me).
7) The city itself is very nice and definitely worth to see. The landscape blew my mind!

BRASILIA

1) No one speaks fucking english! Guys, I swear, it's a touristic hell. 3 different receptionists in my hotel, 5 bus/taxi drivers, 6-10 restaurant/cafe staff, 4 museum staff and many more, and none of them spoke english!!! It's insane!!!
2) If you're a pedestrian, you'll be in trouble. This city is not for you. There's even no way to cross a street. I saw just a very few traffic lights for pedestrians.
3) Weather forecast is a pure bullshit! No match at all! AT ALL!!!
4) The city itself is absolutely unique! Definitely worth to see, at least once!

SAN PAULO

1) A very few people spoke english, but they tried anyway, and I really appreciate it.
2) Totally underrated city! Seriously, I loved it much more than Rio. )))
3) Strong strong strong cocktails everywhere! My Cosmo was just a pure alcohol.
4) Big cultural life and good night life.
5) Horrible (but not the worst) traffic.
6) Cheaper than Rio and Brasilia.

+ extra:
Probably there I felt home. I don't mean that I'd like to live there, I mean SP really reminds me Moscow... Traffic, people in rush, city structure... It was an amazing experience!

+ extra 2:
Lollapalooza is a really cool festival!
Usually I try no to attend this kind of events, but this time I didn't have a choice and I didn't regret at all! I absolutely enjoyed it!

Ant #208. Montevideo.

I can't believe it's happening!
Yes, I'm going to Uruguay!
FINALLY!!!

Probably you don't know how many times I tried to visit this country, but the destiny was against me)))

In 2009, in november, I came to Argentina for the very first time, for 2 weeks. The plan was to see a couple of places here and then go to Montevideo. But the problem was that I needed visa. I went to the embassy of Uruguay 2 months before the trip and started the application. They promissed that it had to take 2 weeks, but at the departure day my visa still wasn't ready! So I canceled my plan to visit this country. Instead of this I went to Iguazu waterfalls! And it was awesome, to be honest!

In 2012, in december, I came to South America again to see Madonna's shows. The plan was to stay in Buenos Aires for 2 shows, then go to Santiago (Chile) for 1 show, come back to Argentina (to Cordoba) for the last show and then I supposed to have a few free days and I wanted to go to Montevideo. That time luckily I didn't need to get visa. But in Chile my credit card was stolen and I wasn't able to pay my trip to Uruguay. So I canceled my trip to Uruguay again.

Now, after 4 years, nothing can stop me! Well, only if our boat will drown in Rio de la Plata))))
But I'm sure it won't happen and my dream finally will come true!

Ant #177. Hitchhike.

Jack Kerouac - On The Road
After reading Jack Kerouac's book "On The Road" I got obsessed with an idea to see America...

The real America with all small cities, cowboys, prairies and burning sun.

Just get a car and drive towards to adventures!

From NY to LA!

Are you with me?

Ant #172. Discovering Argentina.

The last couple of weeks I visited a few places here in Argentina.
All of them were entertaining and impressive.

The past years I've been in Buenos Aires (of course), San Carlos de Bariloche, Ushuaya, Iguazu, La Plata, Cordoba.
Now I added a few more pins on my trip map!

1) Tigre

2) Villa Carlos Paz

3) Villa General Belgrano

4) La Cumbrecita

Next stop is Santa Rosa!

P.S. Anybody can give me suggestions? Or maybe you wanna see me in your city! All the comments are very appreciated! XoXo

Ant #159. Talking to God...

Everyone who knows me knows that I'm not religious.
But being an atheist doesn't mean that you cannot feel the energy of holy places.
On past week I felt it...

I was in Jerusalem with my friends. It was an amazing trip and I'm so happy they were with me.
After a long and full of impressions walk in old city we came to the Western Wall. It wasn't the first time when I came there, but unlike my previous visit this one was totally different.

I took a pen and a paper and started writing...

Hello, God.
How are you doing?
It's been more than 1 year since we met for the last time...

I didn't ask about money, career or houses and cars.
I told him that I have a dream, and it's not about me, it's about us. I just need some help to make it come true, to make me and another one person happy.

That's it...

Ant #148. NYC.

Gosh, I cannot believe it.
3 years since I first thought I had to visit New York and I've finally booked the flight.
To say I'm excited is to say nothing! ^_^

New York
My flight is in 10 days and I'm going there just for a weekend, so I don't have a time for a bullsh*t!

Allright, New Yorkers, I need your advices!

Where to go?
What to see?
Which clubs to visit?
Shopping?
Sightseeing?
Madonna places?

Aaaaaarrrrgh! I cannot put thoughts together!

That's what my friend told me:
"Times Square..... Central Park..... The 9-11 memorial, .... some museums, there are many cool museums..... nightlife.... some clubs......"

Did he miss something else?

Ah, and accommodation!
Anybody knows some hotels (not hoStels) at Manhatten with a good prices?

And the last questions, New Yorkers!
Who wanna meet me?

Goooooooooshhhhhh!!!  ^_^

Ant #146. Skiing.

New Year = New Activities!

This year I decided to go to mountains for skiing.
I never did it before!!!

I started from shopping. I went to sport store, and there was a disaster #1.
I thought I needed just a few goods, but at the end I bought: pants, jacket, slim thermal underwear, warm socks, gloves... And I had to buy much more, but didn't have more money )))

Disaster #2 was our hotel, but it's a long story, let's skip it. )))
Hmmmm... There was something good in it, I met an american couple there, great boy and girl!

My first day of skiing was a disaster #3. It was much harder than I was expecting!

But in the end I fell in love with montains!!!
And I think I'm gonna continue my trainings! ^_^

Ant #144. MDNA Tour: ENDless.

I hope it's not too late, coz I came home 3 days ago, but only now I found a few minutes to tell you how was it in South America!

Oh, South America: you've been hot and cold, crazy and relaxed, quick and long, you've been the best and the worst! You've been everything!
I got a huge experience! Last 4 shows gave me as many emotions as my previous 12!

My South American leg of MDNA Tour:

70+ friend requests on facebook,
50+ hours on planes at the skies,
45 minutes with no electricity during the last show,
40 hours of queuing before shows,
30 US dollars spent on calls to my bank asking them to block my stolen credit card,
8 hours of sleeping at the street the night before the show,
7 hours under the rain waiting for the show,
6 hours of dancing at afterparties,
4 cities (3 for shows and 1 for tourism),
2 countries,
2 business-lounges,
1 disappointment,
1 the end of the world,
1 bottle of wine drunk during the waiting for the end of the world,
1 QUEEN,
1 found true bright love!

Ant #138. Ok, Georgia!

Well well well, guys!
I have to confess! I got crazy! )))))

The flag of Georgia
I'm gonna spend my winter holidays in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
Georgia isn't a north american state, it's a country on the south of Caucasus Mountains.

I can't wait to go to the country of wine and freedom!

I've never been there before and I think that for a lot of people Georgia is kinda exotic place, isn't it?
That's why I'm double-excited! ^_^
I love strange places!

And for a few days my relatives (they are going there as well) and me are planning to go to the mountains for skiing that I also never did )))))
The place calls Gudauri. It's a small luxury city for those who love extreme sports.
I'm sure it will be very funny, I just hope to survive it all! ;-)

Ant #135. Multitasking.

Sometimes I wish I had 10 hands and 5 heads.
I try to be multitasking, but it's too hard for me.
I'm not talking about eating and watching TV at the same time, no. I mean situations when you have to resolve many problems quickly and effectively. And my brain simply refuse to function.
Now is exactly this f*cking time. I have to fix my laptop, to find money for upcoming trip, to think about New Year Eve, to do something with my sh*tty job and finally I have to sort out with my personal life. Heaven, help me!!!

I always wonder how people can do so many things all at once.
I only can do one by one, or I'll f*ck up all of them. I need to be very concentrated on details, this is how I live. But now I don't have enough time.
I'm not giving up, but the more my deadline is coming closer, the more I wanna say "F*ck it all" and run away.

Ant #123. When dreams come true...

The best way to live is to dream!
The best way to live brightly is to make dreams come true!

After 3 years I'm going to South America once again!

50 hours in the sky.
10's of friends.
5 cities.
4 MDNA shows.
2 new counties.
1 QUEEN OF POP.

Ah, Buenos Aires! The city that I love the most!
It's so good to come back!
You make me feel so happy and free.
What will you bring me for this time? More parties? More fun? More "last-night troubles"? )))
Or maybe more love and feeling "special"?

Just "give me all your luvin'", Buenos Aires!
I wanna live dangerously! ;-)

Buenos Aires
